Avatar to Be Available on Disney+ at Launch

Disney+ has added one of the studio’s big acquisitions from Fox to its Disney+ launch lineup in Avatar. James Cameron announced in a video from the set of Avatar 2 that his 2009 blockbuster sci-fi film will be available to watch when the service launches on November 12th.

The film is among a host of films and shows that will available on the service at launch. It is also, of course, one of the biggest hits of all-time, grossing $2.789 billion worldwide (though its esteem among fans in the years since its release has waned a fair amount). The next film in the series will open on December 17th, 2021.
