Man Beaten Outside Hong Kong Cinema for Spoiling Avengers: Endgame

In the latest bizarre story to come out for the global release of the highly anticipated MCU sequel, Avengers: Endgame,Deadline a man was reportedly beaten outside a Hong Kong theater for yelling out spoilers for the film. The story was first reported by Taiwanese media.

Per the report, the unidentified victim was beaten outside a theater in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. After watching the movie, he started shouting spoilers to the film by the theater’s entrance. Some angry moviegoers were waiting to see the film outside and then later beat the alleged victim up for revealing spoilers to the film.

A photo was released online showing him sitting on the street with blood coming from a wound on his head. That photo is available at AsianOne.com. While some users on social media doubted the legitimacy of the incident, some commenters on social media backed up the claim, stating they were at the scene and heard someone shouting spoilers to the film.

The directors of the film, Joe and Anthony Russo, have been diligent in advising moviegoers and pre-screening attendees not to spoil the film for everyone else, including posting messages on social media.

Avengers: Endgame is already poised to shatter box office records and set many new ones this weekend. It already shattered the opening day box office record by taking in $156 million.
