Batman: Knightfall To Be Adapted As Multi-Part Animated Project

Variety reports that Warner Bros. Animation has announced a multi-part adaptation of Batman: Knightfall, which is already in production. The project was announced at New York Comic Con during a panel about Batman’s history in animation. While an exact date was not given, the first part will arrive some time in 2026.
The original comic story was published in three parts between 1993 and 1994. It is one of the best Batman stories ever written, and is most notable for the moment in which Bane breaks the Bat. It was created by Doug Moench, Chuck Dixon, Alan Grant, Dennis O’Neil, Peter David, Jo Duffy, Jim Aparo, Graham Nolan, Norm Breyfogle, and Jim Balent.
Here’s a synopsis: When the mysterious behemoth known only as Bane frees Batman’s entire Rogue’s Gallery from Arkham Asylum, the Caped Crusader is pushed to his mental and physical breaking point.”
Part 1 was directed by Jeff Wamester from a script by Jeremy Adams. The supervising producer is Rick Morales, along with Jim Krieg and Kimberly S. Moreau. Sam Register and Michael Uslan are executive producers.
