Netflix’s hit film Bird Box is catching criticism after fans noticed that it used real footage of a fatal train derailment. As Mashable reports, the footage appears on a television in the film and was of an actual 2013 derailment in Quebec that resulted in forty-seven deaths. The footage appears in the film at about the 4:00 mark; the real incident appears below.

Netflix has decided not to remove the clip, which Mashable notes is the second time it was used by the service. The footage previously appeared in Netflix’s Travelers and brought an apology from the series’ production company, who promised to remove the clips. Netflix has decided that they will not remove it from Bird Box.

Julie Morin, the mayor of Lac-Megantic where the derailment happened, isn’t pleased. “We find that it’s really a lack of respect,” Morin said. “It’s hard enough for our citizens to see these images when they are used normally and respectfully on the news. Just imagine to have them used as fiction.”
