Despite a somewhat underwhelming start at the box office, Birds of Prey has legged its way to $200 million worldwide. The DCEU film made its way across the $200 million mark after an opening in Japan, where it brought in $2 million over three days which is on par with Shazam’s numbers.

The film now has $84.2 million domestically and $200.3 million worldwide, which are the lowest numbers of a DCEU film to date. That was to be expected after the film got off to a $33 million start at the beginning of February, and the closure of theaters a couple of weeks ago also had an impact as it was holding on well beforehand with most of its week to week drops in the 40% range. While Warner Bros. was certainly disappointed in the gross, it was looking to be on its way to at least breakeven before the theatrical business got completely shut down.

The film is now joining several films in hitting home video early, having released on digital HD today where it hopes to strike a chord with audiences.
