Blue Beetle Flies Into Action In Final Trailer For DC Film

Blue Beetle arrives in theaters next month, and the final trailer features the titular hero fighting to protect his family. Warner Bros. Pictures released the trailer on Monday which you can check out below. The preview sets out more of the story and sets up Xolo Maridueña’s Jaime Reyes in a pitched battle against paramilitary forces and Susan Sarandon’s Victoria Kord when they target his family in order to try and acquire the scarab that gives Jaime his power suit.

The film is directed by Ángel Manuel Soto from a script by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer. Releasing on August 18th, it stars Maridueña, Adriana Barraza, Damían Alcázar, Raoul Max Trujillo, Sarandon, George Lopez, Elpidia Carrillo, Bruna Marquezine, Belissa Escobedo, and Harvey Guillén and is described as follows:

Recent college grad Jaime Reyes returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not quite as he left it.
