The cast has been revealed for the upcoming adaptation of Garth Ennis’ comic book Crossed. THR reports that Devin Druid (13 Reasons Why) and Ash Santos (American Horror Story) will play the leads in the post-apocalyptic film, which is based on the horror comic from the creator of The Boys.
Druid and Santos will play Stan and Cindy in the film, the leaders of a group of strangers trying to survive in the brutal world in which infected people — known as the Crossed for the cross-like mark that appears on their faces — are compelled to give into their worst impulses.
Also starring in the film are Ethan Jones Romero as Thomas, Kyla Hee as Kelly, Chido Nwokocha as Kitrick, Spenser Granese as Brett, Bob Morley as Randall, Ana Mulvoy Ten as Sheena, Steven Hack as Geoff, and Lorenzo Ross as Patrick. The villains will be played by Owen Harn, who plays the Crossed’s leader Horsecock; Fedor Steer as Face; and Kelvin Adekunle as Stump. FInally, Angie Campbell will play Amy and Peter Falls will play Joel.
The film is produced by Six Studios and is currently in post-production. Ennis wrote the script based on the original 10 issues of the comic. Rob Jabbaz, whose Taiwanese film The Sadness was inspired by Crossed, is directing.
“Fans of Crossed have speculated on our cast for some time, and in the spirit of helping all Crossed fans survive the coming apocalypse, we are pleased to reveal our exceptional cast who are bringing Garth’s thrilling and horror-filled comic series to life on screen,” said Six Studios’ Carl Choi.
