Channing Tatum May Direct Gambit Himself

In a story Deadline wrote about Channing Tatum leaving UTA and Management 360, it noted that the actor is still trying to get his Gambit movie off the ground. According to the report, Tatum wants to play the mutant bad enough that he’s considering directing the movie himself. There is no start date at this time and several directors have been on and off the project. Gore Verbinski, Doug Liman and Rupert Wyatt were all attached at one point.

The movie, which was described as having a tone similar to a romantic comedy, will also star Lizzy Caplan and features a script from Reid Carolin.
