Charlie Cox Reportedly Seen on Set of Spider-Man 3
It’s been rumored for a while that Charlie Cox will be playing Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil) in Spider-Man 3, and a new report says he was seen on the set of the film. ComicBook.com reports that the actor, who played Daredevil in the Marvel Netflix shows, was on the set for the upcoming MCU film.
There have been unconfirmed rumors for a couple of months that Cox would be playing the street-level superhero in the film. However, no one had confirmed his casting or definitively reported his involvement.
At this point it is not in fact clear if the potential Daredevil appearance would be the same character as in the Marvel Netflix shows or another iteration of him. Spider-Man 3 will feature Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and it has been reported that Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Kirsten Dunst, and Emma Stone will be reprising their roles as their Spider-Man-related characters from the Sam Raimi and Marc Webb-directed films, with the belief that the film will tie into the concept of the multiverse.
Jon Watts is back to direct Spider-Man 3, which is confirmed to star Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Cumberbatch. It is currently filming and is set to release on December 17th.
