Christoph Waltz is reportedly returning to the 007 franchise with Bond 25. Entertainment columnist Baz Bamigboye, who is known for breaking news on the franchise, reports on Twitter that Waltz is set to return as Blofeld in the as-yet-unnamed film.

Bamigboye noted that Waltz was shooting scenes at Pinewood Studios, where Bond 25 is filming, and that when a visitor spotted him, Waltz said, “You haven’t seen me.”

Waltz played the iconic Bond villain in 2015’s Spectre. If he is on board, the actor joins a cast that includes Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Lea Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Rory Kinnear, Jeffrey Wright, Dali Benssalah, Billy Magnussen, Ana De Arma, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, and Rami Malek.

In Bond 25, Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

The movie releases on April 8th, 2020.
