Dave Bautista To Star In New Action Comedy With Anne Hathaway

Dave Bautista and Anne Hathaway are set to star in a new action comedy based on a real-life sting operation. Deadline reprots that the two have signed on to star in the as-yet-untitled film for Amazon MGM Studios and the Russo Brothers’ AGBO, which is being written by Jonathan Tropper (This Is Where I Leave You).

The film is based on a sting operation where agents posted as a couple in order to infiltrate criminal enterprises which ended with a staged wedding. As the crime lords checked in for table assignments, they were arrested and pulled away in order to avoid tipping off the next arrival.

According to the outlet, the story will be molded into a “a mismatched partner story” with two undercover FBI agents who have very different styles and are forced to pretend to be a couple.

Joe and Anthony Russo will produce for AGBO alongside Angela Russo-Otstot, Michael Disco and Tropper.
