While we will be getting the Snyder Cut of Justice League on HBO Max, the so-called “Ayer Cut” of Suicide Squad doesn’t seem heading that way. Fans have been speculating that Ayer’s cut could see a release on the platform, including several fan petitions calling for that to happen. Ayer himself fueled speculation when he said that the cut would be “so easy to complete.”

That said, Ayer threw cold water on rumors that it was actually happening when a fan tweeted him to ask about a report claiming that the film was coming to the service. Ayer kept it short and sweet with a simple “Not True,” as you can see below:

In the meantime, we will be seeing the sequel as James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad will release in October of next year. Meanwhile, Snyder’s Justice League cut will release as a four-part event early next year.
