DC Universe’s Titans Casts Deathstroke For Season Two

Deathstroke is set to run across the Titans in the upcoming second season of the DC Universe series. Deadline reports that Esai Morales will play the anti-hero/villain in the second season of the show. Morales is an acting veteran known for his roles in films like La Bamba and Superfly, as well as television series like NYPD Blue, Caprica, From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series and Criminal Minds.

The addition of Deathstroke is not an incredibly surprising choice, as Deathstroke is major adversary for the Titans. Created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez, he made his debut in 1980’s New Teen Titans #2 and has factored into some of the team’s most memorable stories, notably the “Judas Contract” story arc.

Titans premiered its first season in September and ran through December, earning positive reviews (including from 411) and a second season renewal. A premiere date for the second run hasn’t yet been revealed.
