– According to Deadline, Travis Knight will no longer serve as the director for Sony’s Uncharted over a scheduling conflict. Knight previously directed Bumblebee.

Tom Holland’s schedule for Spider-Man is the cause of the conflict. Holland is also set to star in Uncharted and remains attached to the film alongside Mark Wahlberg. Holland is set to shoot Spider-Man in the summer.

Sony will move forward with a new director and a new release date — the film was originally set for a December 2020 release — will be announced when the matter is resolved. Rafe Judkins and Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Ironman) are still in charge of the screenplay, which is an adaptation of the popular Playstation video game.
