Frozen 2 Teaser Trailer Finally Debuts Online

Walt Disney Animation Studios has finally released the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated sequel for Frozen. You can check out the teaser trailer for Frozen 2 below.

The sequel to the 2013 smash hit was first announced way back in 2015. Academy Award winning directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are helming the sequel from producer Peter Del Vecho. The film features returning voices Idina Menzel as Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff and Josh Gad as Olaf. Oscar-winning songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are providing the music and songs.

Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t offer a lot of context for the plot or what’s happening in the story. Disney has not yet released any type of story details or synopsis.

The trailer opens with Elsa trying to get over a series of turbulent ocean waves using her ice powers, but the power of the waves makes it very difficult. There’s also footage of Kristoff riding Sven alongside a pack of reindeer. There’s also an image of Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf overlooking a fjord. There appears to be an autumn theme to the trailer, like the season of autumn is encroaching.

It also looks like Anna has been practicing her fighting skills. The trailer ends with her noticing something approaching the group, and she grabs Kristoff’s dagger to spring into battle.
