Guy Ritchie To Direct Road House 2, Jake Gyllenhaal Returning

Road House 2 is officially a go, with Guy Ritchie set to direct the sequel to the remake. THR reports that Ritchie will direct the follow-up to the 2024 film, with Jake Gyllenhaal set to return as Elwood Dalton.

The 2024 film was of course a remake of the Patrick Swayze-starring 1989 action film. It earned mixed reviews from critics but was a big hit for Prime Video, with 80 million viewers worldwide. Doug Liman directed that film but was critical of the studio’s decision to release it on Prime instead of giving it a theatrical release.

Plot details are being kept under wraps for the sequel.
