The Joker & Harley Quinn Join Forces In New Joker: Folie a Deux Trailer

A new trailer for Joker: Folie a Deux has arrived, giving us a deeper look at the central storyline between Arthur Fleck and Harleen Quinzel. Warner Bros. Pictures released the second trailer for the Joker sequel on Tuesday, and you can check it out below.

The trailer shows how the film follows up the events of Todd Phillips’ 2019 film, which earned Joaquin Phoenix an Oscar for Best Actor. In the preview, Arthur’s actions have put him in Arkham but also made him a celebrity. One of the people drawn to him as Harleen (Lady Gaga), aka Harley Quinn. As Arthur’s followers seek to free him, he and Harley begin a romance that includes plenty of musical sequences.

The film stars Phoenix, Gaga, Zazie Beetz, Catherine Keener, Brendan Gleeson, and Jacob Lofland, and is directed by Phillips from a script he wrote with Scott Silver. The Elseworlds film (aka not connected to the relaunching DC Universe) releases on October 4th and is described as follows:

Joker: Folie À Deux finds Arthur Fleck institutionalized at Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that’s always been inside him.
