Hawkeye Disney+ Series Looks to Begin Filming This Week
Production appears to be starting this week on the upcoming MCU Hawkeye series that will air on Disney+. The Verge editor Chris Welch posted an image to Twitter of a sign in downtown Brooklyn announcing the start of production for “Anchor Point” on Wednesday. Anchor Point is the production code-name for the Hawkeye show.
The series sees Jeremy Renner reprising his role as Clint Barton and will introduce Kate Bischop as his protege, also named Hawkeye. Hailee Steinfeld was reportedly in talks to play the role late last year, though her casting has not yet been confirmed. Amber Finlayson and Katie Ellwood (Troop Zero) will direct a block of episodes, as will Rhys Thomas (Staten Island Summer). The series is expected to debut on Disney+ next fall.
