Head Writer Tapped For Disney+ Ironheart MCU Series

The upcoming MCU Ironheart series set to air on Disney+ officially has a head writer. Variety reports that Chinaka Hodge (Amazing Stories, Snowpiercer) has been tapped to lead the writing of the upcoming show, which will star Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams.

Ironheart will follow Williams as she invents an Iron Man-like suit of armor. It is based on the character as created by Brian Michael Bendis and Mike Deodato in the comics in 2016, though the incarnation will have to go through some changes as the comics version was mentored by Tony Stark who is of course dead in the MCU.

No release date is currently known for the series, which obviously has yet to officially enter production with its head writer just found. The series was confirmed in December at Disney’s Investor Day presentation.
