Official IT: Welcome To Derry Trailer Teases Pennywise’s Arrival, Big Scares

The official trailer for IT: Welcome To Derry is here, which reveals Pennywise’s return in full along with some freaky moments. HBO released the trailer for the IT prequel series ahead of its October 26th premiere, and you can check it out below.

The new trailer introduces a number of our characters and features a few references to other Stephen King books, most notably Dick Hallorann who fans of The Shining and Doctor Sleep will recognize. Here he’s played by Chris Chalk. You can also see a bus to Shawshank State Prison, but the biggest moments are the on-screen return of Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise and a number of harrowing-looking scares.

The series will premieres on HBO and HBO Max starting October 26th, with new episodes weekly. It stars Jovan Adepo, Taylour Paige, Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Skarsgård and is described as follows:

Set in the world of Stephen King’s IT universe, IT: Welcome to Derry is based on King’s IT novel and expands the vision established by filmmaker Andy Muschietti in the feature films IT and IT Chapter Two.
