A DCEU veteran now joins the new cinematic DC Universe. DC Studios co-head James Gunn revealed a new teaser clip for Supergirl, featuring a new look at Jason Momoa as the Main Man himself, Lobo, via social media.

The original trailer offered a brief glimpse of Momoa in silhouette as Lobo. However, the new clip finally reveals Momoa as Lobo in his full glory. You can check out the newly revealed clip below.

Momoa previously appeared as Aquaman/Arthur Curry in several installments of the now-defunct DCEU, including his own solo films, Aquaman and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. However, he now joins the new DC Universe in a role many fans have been campaigning for him to play.

Created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen, Lobo debuted in Omega Men in 1983. Now, he makes his big-screen debut in Supergirl. Lobo is the last of his kind, a rough and tough alien bounty hunter from the planet Czarnia. He’s also a longtime antihero of the DC Universe.

The upcoming feature is directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira. It also stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, and Emily Beecham. It’s produced by DC Studios heads Peter Safran and James Gunn.

Joining Gillespie behind the camera are director of photography Rob Hardy, production designer Neil Lamont, editor Tatiana S. Riegel, costume designer Anna B. Sheppard, Visual Effects Supervisor Geoffrey Baumann, and composer Ramin Djawadi.

DC’s Supergirl hits theaters and IMAX across North America on June 26, 2026. It will be released internationally starting June 24, 2026, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
