John Cena Set To Star In New Netflix Film Little Brother
Deadline reports that John Cena is set to star in the new Netflix comedy Little Brother, along with Eric Andre. The film is in early development and is being written by Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel. It follows a real estate agent who has his world turned upside down by the arrival of his eccentric “little brother.” The film will be produced by David Bernad and Ruben Fleischer.
Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria talked about the film during yesterday’s WWE event at Netflix HQ. She said: “We are really looking forward to doing documentaries and taking some of [WWE’s] great history and characters and doing that on the unscripted and scripted side. Again, we have so many great stars that come from WWE that we’ve had a great relationship with on the TV and movie side. We are about to do a new movie with our very own John Cena. It’s a really great comedy called Little Brother [starring Cena] and Eric Andre together, and we’re super excited about that.”
Triple H added: “When we first met with you and your team Bela, you were open to the ideas and thoughts and concepts that are so outside the box. What WWE brings to the table is this platform that is willing to go in any direction, which is an amazing opportunity for us to say, where do we want to go with this person? This is not just with the stars of WWE but also with the celebrities that come to watch what we do.“
