John Malkovich and Rupert Grint Join Cast of The ABC Murders
Deadline.com reports that John Malkovich and Rupert Grint have joined the cast of The ABC Murders. The upcoming three-part miniseries for BBC One is based on the Agatha Christie novel of the same name.
Malkovich will portray the role of Detective Hercule Poirot. Grint will portray Inspector Crome. Sarah Phelps is adapting the project for BBC One as part of a partnership with Agatha Christie Limited. Additionally, more Christie adaptations are expected to be produced in the future. Malkovich and Grint join the cast alongside Andrew Buchan, Eamon Farren, Tara Fitzgerald, Bronwyn James, and Freya Mavor. Alex Gabassi is directing the project. The executive producers are Phelps, Damien Timmer, and Helen Ziegler for Mammoth Screen, Prichard and Basi Akpabio for Agatha Christie Limited, and Elizabeth Kilgarriff for BBC. T. Farah Abushwesha is producing the project.
Filming for the project is slated to start in June.
