Johnny Flynn to Play Davie Bowie in Biopic Stardust

The role of David Bowie has been cast in Stardust, a film that will look at Bowie’s first US visit in 1971. Variety reports that Johnny Flynn will play the iconic rock star in the film, starring with Jena Malone and Marc Maron.

Malone will play Bowie’s then-wife Angela Barnett, and Maron will play his record company publicist. Flynn is best known for his role as Pascal in Michael Pearce’s 2017 psychological thriller Beast and as a young ALbert Einstein in National Geographic’s Genius. He will next star with Anya Taylor-Joy in the adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma.
