Jon Favreau Touches On Iron Man’s Future In The MCU (SPOILERS)

Warning: This post contains spoilers for Avengers: Endgame.

Jon Favreau, director of the first two Iron Man films and the man who plays Happy Hogan spoke briefly with ScreenRant about the future of the character and the franchise in the MCU, after the death of Tony Stark at the end of the past film. Theoretically successors could take up the mantle, such as Tony’s protege Peter Parker, his friend Roadie aka War Machine, Pepper Potts (who has her own Iron Man armor) or even his newly introduced daughter Morgan down the line.

But according to Favreau, nothing of the sort has been discussed quite yet.

“We haven’t talked about [Iron Man] 4. I’ve talked to Kevin [Feige] about it to see what they’re up to, but we definitely love working together and we love these characters.” Favraeu explained. “So we talk about what it would be, and we always joke about the ‘Freak’ storyline, which is a Happy Hogan storyline when he turns into a Hulk-like character. We joke about that, though, no plans as of yet.”
