Mason Rook Apologizes to Fans After Being Pulled From Last Night’s NXT Championship Match Due to Medical Reasons

Mason Rook has commented on not being able to compete in the scheduled NXT Championship match against Grayson Waller last night due to medical reasons.
As noted, ahead of last night’s episode of WWE NXT, it was announced that Mason Rook wouldn’t participate in the previously scheduled NXT Championship match after the medical team deemed him unfit to compete.
Following the show, Rook apologized to WWE fans on social media for not being able to compete, admitting that life is sometimes “cruel” and asserting how much he wanted to perform last night. Here’s what he wrote:
“I’m sorry. Sometimes life is cruel. Every fiber of my being wanted to compete tonight, but unfortunately it is out of my control. I promise this is just a speed bump and not a roadblock.”

As it turned out, Waller hosted an NXT Title Open Challenge, which was answered by EK Prosper. Despite Prosper’s incredible performance, Waller was able to retain the championship via two Rolling Stunners.
