Kit Harington Hasn’t Yet Seen Game of Thrones’ Last Season
Game of Thrones defied the hefty criticism thrown the final season’s way to win an Emmy for Best Drama, though one of its stars has yet to see it. Kit Harington spoke following the Emmys about the show’s wins at this weekend’s ceremony and defended the show over the criticism levied.
“I still haven’t seen the show,” Harington said (per Indie Wire. “So that’s how I dealt with that controversy — I haven’t seen the final season but I know what it took to shoot it. It was hard and all of them put their love and effort into it. Controversy, I think for us, we knew what we were doing was right, storywise, and we knew that it was right for the characters because we lived with them for 10 years. Controversy for us didn’t really affect us.”
The series won not only Best Drama, but also Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for Peter Dinklage. It ended its eight-season run with a final tally of 160 total Primetime Emmy nominations and 57 wins.
