Mario Explores the Mushroom Kingdom in First Clip for The Super Mario Bros. Movie
During The Game Awards presentation, Keegan Michael-Key introduced a new clip for The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The new clip features Toad (voiced by Michael-Key) showing Mario around the Mushroom Kingdom, as Toad seeks to bring Mario (Chris Pratt) to Princess Peach’s castle. You can check out the new clip below.
The new clip showcases more of Pratt’s vocal performance as Mario, along with how the film’s score will be incorporating the classic game themes into the film.
The upcoming CG-animated feature is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic from a script by Matthew Fogel and stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.
The film is produced by Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment. The Super Mario Bros. Movie releases in theaters on on April 7, 2023.
