Since 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been building towards next month’s Avengers: Endgame. Endgame is the final movie of Phase Three, and all three phases are now collectively known as “The Infinity Saga.”

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed the name “The Infinity Saga” to Empire Magazine (via Comic Book Movie) by saying, “We wanted to bring to a conclusion a series of movies in a way that had never been done before. Harry Potter had an ending because there were only so many books. Lord of the Rings, too. But we thought, 22 movies in, wouldn’t it be fun to bring some finality to the storyline?”

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters next month on April 26th.
