Maui Is Back in Trailer For Moana 2
Disney returns to the world of Moana in November with Moana 2, and a new trailer for the film is online. Disney unveiled the trailer for the movie at D23, and you can check it out below.
The trailer sees Moana call on Maui’s aid again when she goes on a quest to find more of her people in the lost islands of the Pacific, with plenty of big moments and humor hinted at.
The film features the return of Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson as the voices of Moana and Maui alongside Rachel House (Moana’s Grandma, Tala), Temuera Morrison (Moana’s father, Chief Tui) Nicole Scherzinger (Moana’s mother, Sina) and Hualālai Chung, David Fane and Rose Matafeo as Moana’s new crew members Moni, Kele and Loto, respectively. Awhimai Fraser voices the new character of Matangi, Gerald Ramsey plays Moana’s ancestor Tautai Vasa, and Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda voices to Moana’s little sister, Simea.
The film is set to release on November 27th, 2024 and is described as follows:
Moana 2 reunites Moana (voice of Cravalho) and Maui (voice of Johnson) three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.
