April 25, 2020 | Posted by

Variety reports that Paramount has pushed back the release dates of Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8 due to the current pandemic. The seventh film was originally set for release on July 23, 2021, but since filming is on hiatus, it will now arrive on November 19 of that same year. The eighth film was set for August 5, 2022, but will now arrive on November 4 of that year. Tom Cruise was going to shoot in Venice, Italy before the pandemic hit but filming was put on hold indefinitely. Both films will be directed by Christopher McQuarrie, returning from Rogue Nation and Fallout.
