New Music Video For Dark Phoenix Appears to Reveal Dazzler

– It looks as if a new character may have been revealed for Dark Phoenix, and she’s a real star. You can see the music video for “Extraordinary Being,” which features footage from the film which include what appears to be Dazzler.

The identity of the actress playing the potential Dazzler isn’t yet known. This is the first confirmation that the character will appear in the film since way back in June of 2017, when it was reported she would appear. She has yet to appear on any cast list, and this is her first promotional appearance. Dazzler appears at about the two-minute mark.

Dazzler is the stage name (and code name) of Alison Blaire. A pop star, she has the mutant power to turn sound vibrations into light and energy beams. She uses it support her music career, but can also channel them in a variety of ways, including combat. She has been a member of the team on and off from time to time, most notably during the X-Men’s time in Australia in the 1980s when the world believed she was dead. The film opens on June 7th and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, and Jessica Chastain.

Dark Phoenix is the story of one of the X-Men’s most beloved characters, Jean Grey, as she evolves into the iconic titular character. During a life-threatening rescue mission in space, Jean is hit by a cosmic force that transforms her into one of the most powerful mutants of all. Wrestling with this increasingly unstable power as well as her own personal demons, Jean spirals out of control, tearing the X-Men family apart and threatening to destroy the very fabric of our planet.
