Oprah Winfrey Says She’s Not Running For President

Oprah Winfrey said in a new interview that she’s not planning run for president. TMZ reports that Winfrey made the declaration during a taped interview with Lin-Manuel Miranda for an upcoming episode of SuperSoul Conversations. When Miranda said he’s not running for public office, Winfrey said, “I’m not either!”

This isn’t the first time Winfrey has denied the speculation. After people began talking about the possibility due to her Golden Globes speech, the media mogul told InStyle Magazine that she wasn’t interested in going for the Oval Office.

” I’ve always felt very secure and confident with myself in knowing what I could do and what I could not,” she said. “And so it’s not something that interests me. I don’t have the DNA for it.”
