Variety reports that Paramount Pictures is giving Sonic the Hedgehog an early release on digital and video-on-demand. It will debut on March 31, only 46 days after it debuted in theaters.

The video game adaptation is the latest film to get a digital release early as theaters have been shutting down due to the Coronavirus. Universal released Emma, The Hunt and The Invisible Man to VOD yesterday, as did Disney with Onward (which will hit Disney+ on April 3). Sony will release Bloodshot to VOD on Tuesday.

Sonic has been a success in its theatrical run, earning $306 million worldwide on a budget of just under $100 million. It stars Ben Schwartz, James Marsden and Jim Carrey.
