Marvel has added a couple of big names to The Fantastic Four with Ralph Ineson to play Galactus and Jon Malkovich signing on. THR reports that Malkovich has joined the cast of the MCU film in an unnamed role, while Ineson (The First Omen, Game of Thrones) will play the legendary World-Eater Galactus in the film.

Galactus is one of the Fantastic Four’s — and indeed, the whole of the Marvel Universe’s — most dangerous threats. A cosmic being who must live off the life force of planets, Galactus is a being of incredible power who has sought many times in the comics to make Earth his meal only to be turned away (or not in some alternate universe stories) from draining the planet of life. He is also known for his cosmic power-infused heralds, which have included the Silver Surfer among them.

Malkovich and Ineson join a cast that includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, Julia Garner as the Shalla-Bal iteration of the Silver Surfer, and Paul Walter Hauser in an unnamed role. Plot details have yet to be revealed for the film, which is being directed by Matt Shakman from a script by Eric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer.

Production on the film kicks off this summer with a July 25th, 2025 release date set.
