Ray Fisher’s assertion that he won’t work with DC Films’ Walter Hamada appear to be holding, as he has reportedly been written out of The Flash. Writer Mark Hughes says that he has confirmed with Warner Bros. that Cyborg is not in the upcoming film and that despite rumors to the contrary, the role is not being recast.

Fisher said late last month that he would not work with Hamada, who is the president of DC Films and is executive producing The Flash. Fisher has accused Hamada of enabling the abuse that allegedly took place on the set of Justice League when Joss Whedon was in charge of the film by trying, in Fisher’s words, “to throw Joss Whedon and Jon Berg under the bus in hopes that I would relent on Geoff Johns.”

The Flash is set to be directed by Andy Muschietti from a script by Christina Hodson. Reportedly adapting the “Flashpoint” story arc from the comic books, it will star Ezra Miller with both Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck reprising their roles as alternate universe versions of Batman. It is set to release on November 4th, 2022.
