Ray Fisher Says He Won’t Work With DC Films Head Walter Hamada
Walter Hamada may have some expansive plans for DC Films moving forward, but Ray Fisher says they won’t involve him. Fisher posted to Twitter to react to the recent New York Times profile on Hamada, calling the DC Films President “the most dangerous kind of enabler” and saying that “His lies, and WB PR’s failed Sept 4th hit-piece, sought to undermine the very real issues of the Justice League investigation. I will not participate in any production associated with him.”
Fisher has been at odds with Warner Bros. and DC Films over his allegations that Joss Whedon was abusive on the set of Justice League and that producers Geoff Johns and Jon Berg enabled Whedon’s behavior. Fisher’s reference to a September 4th “hit piece” seems to be regarding his allegation that Hamada called him on that day and “attempted to throw Joss Whedon and Jon Berg under the bus in hopes that I would relent on Geoff Johns.”
Warner Bros. concluded their investigation of Fisher’s allegations in December, and said that “remedial action” had been taken.
So you can better understand how deep this goes:
After speaking out about Justice League, I received a phone call from the President of DC Films wherein he attempted to throw Joss Whedon and Jon Berg under the bus in hopes that I would relent on Geoff Johns.
I will not.
