Sebastian Stan Wants to Star in Karyn Kusama’s Dracula Film

Sebastian Stan is targeting a horror icon for his resume, revealing that he’s already reached out about Karyn Kusama’s planned Dracula film. The actor, who plays the Winter Soldier in the MCU, spoke with THR for an interview and expressed his interest in the role.

Stan previously worked with Kusama on 2018’s Destroyer, and when Dracula was brought up in the interview he said, “I already emailed her about that. I said, ‘You know I’m from Romania, right?’ and she goes, ‘Yes, yes, it’s very early — and there’s a pandemic. Hopefully, we’ll see you in four years.’ (Laughs.)”

Kusama’s film is being developed through Blumhouse. Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay, who wrote Kusama’s The Invitation, are writing the script. In the meantime, Stan will appear in Disney+’s upcoming MCU series Falcon And the Winter Soldier alongside Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Daniel Bruhl, and Carl Lumbly.
