Disney is giving Spider-Man: Far From Home the same re-release treatment that Avengers: Endgame did, with a new theater push featuring a few extra minutes. THR reports that the film, which originally released in July, will get a re-expansion starting on August 29th in select theaters with an additional four minutes of footage. No details have been revealed about the new footage yet.

Following the August 29th re-expansion, the film will build to additional locations for the weekend starting on August 30th. This follows the expansion of Avengers: Endgame in late June in order to help it get past AVatar in terms of worldwide box office.

Far From Home has been a huge success for Sony, ranking as the sole non-Disney film of 2019 thus far to gross a billion dollars worldwide. As of now, it stands at $376.7 million domestically and $1.109 billion worldwide, and is just $13.2 million short of the $389.8 million domestic take of Guardians of the Galaxy. If Far From Home can pass that, it would hit #9 among MCU films domestically. The film has also become the highest-grossing Sony film of all-time, having passed Skyfall’s $1.108 billion.
