The Rock Returns as Maui in New Moana 2 TV Spot

Walt Disney Studios dropped a new sneak peek at Moana 2 today, featuring new footage of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Maui in the upcoming sequel. The new TV spot also features the first look at the new song, “We’re Back,” from the film. You can view that new preview below.

The upcoming sequel reunited Moana (Auli’i Cravalho) and Maui (Johnson) for a new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After she receives a call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana journsey across the seas of Oceania into the dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlikely anything she’s ever faced.

The film also features retuning voice cast members Rachel House as Gramma Tala, Temeura Morrison as Chief Tui, and Nichole Scherzinger as Sina. New actors include Hualālai Chung, David Fane and Rose Matafeo as Moana’s new crew members Moni, Kele and Loto, respectively. Awhimai Fraser also voices mysterious new character Matangi; Gerald Ramsey potrays Moana’s ancestor, Tautai Vasa; and Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda lends her voice to Moana’s adoring and adorable little sister, Simea.
