Tyrese Gibson Says He’s Buried His Feud With The Rock Over Fast & Furious

Tyrese Gibson and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are good again after their feud over the Fast & Furious franchise, according to Gibson. As you may recall, Gibson was very displeased with Johnson over delays to F9, which he said in 2017 was due to Johnson and Jason Statham’s Hobbs & Shaw being fast-tracked. At one point Gibson even said that he wouldn’t be in F9 if Johnson was.

They’re good now though, apparently, as Gibson said on Comedy Central’s Stir Crazy that they’ve buried the hatchet. Gibson said, “Me and The Rock peaced up by the way. We talked for like four hours three weeks ago.”

He went on to say why he’s not interested in his own spinoff, saying, “What’s interesting about the Fast and the Furious series is it’s not about any of us individually. See, we’re like the UN at this point. Everyone gets to go to the theater and say ‘He or she looks like me!'”

F9 is set to hit theaters on May 28th, 2021.
