Warner Bros. Releasing Shazam! and More in SrceenX 270 Degree Format

Warner Bros. has announced that they will release six titles this year, including Shazam!, in ScreenX format. Per THR, three titles have been announced so far. They are the DC Extended Universe film on April 5th, The Curse of La Llorna on April 19th, and Godzilla: King of the Monsters on May 31st. The remaining three titles will be announced later this year.

ScreenX is developed by CJ 4DPLEX and is is a multi-projection technology that gives audiences a panoramic view of what’s happening on screen, allowing them to feel like they’re ‘inside’ the movie.

“Warner Bros. Pictures continues to be a strong supporter and partner of the ScreenX cinematic experience, and we are beyond excited to grow that partnership with a release of six titles from their upcoming film lineup,” said JongRyul Kim, CEO of CJ 4DPLEX. “We continue to expand this new technology to an ever-increasing and loyal consumer fan base that will help shape the movie-going landscape for years to come.”

ScreenX is currently available at 195 theaters in 62 different countries. Cineworld Group has also announced that they plan to open 100 additional locations across the United States and Europe.
