Zachary Levi Says Shazam! Sequel Could Begin Filming in Mid-2020

Zachary Levi dropped a tidbit about when DC’s Shazam! sequel might begin filming before the MTV Movie & TV Awards. Speaking with the AP, levi said that the film could begin filming early to mid-next year.
Levi said that “scriptwriting for the sequel has already begun,” and that he “expects to start filming either in late spring or early summer next year.”
Shazam! has been a bright in DC’s comic book film universe. The film opened in April and grossed $363 million on a $80 million budget. The film is also among the best reviewed of the DCEU films yet, with Warner Bros. quickly lining up plans for a second film.
