Zack Snyder Shoots Down Rumors He’s Doing More DC Movies
The Snyderverse fans got a burst of hope for more movies when James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DC Studios, but Zack Snyder has thrown cold water on that hope. As reported late last month, Gunn and Safran have been named the head of DC Studios and will oversee DC’s films, television and animation projects. The move — and Gunn’s promise that they are “open to everything” regarding new projects — led to some fans speculating that Snyder may return to tell more stories in the “Snyderverse” created by his director’s cut of Justice League. It would appear that is not the case, however.
Snyder was a guest on the Preston & Steve Show and was asked if he would be coming back to work on projects for DC Studios. In response, he said, “As far as I know — which is very little — I’m doing my thing and haven’t had anyone give me a call or anything. So I’m just wishing them all the best and hoping they make some cool movies.”
The speculation on new Snyder films was initially sparked by Henry Cavill’s return as Superman as annnounced following the release of Black Ada. For now though, it appears to be much ado about nothing regarding potential Snyder involvement.
