We open with highlights from last week’s Impact.

Jeremy Borash and Christy Hemme welcome us to week three of Global Impact. Christy is sexy. Borash is Borash. They talk about the KOTM match and how Killings and Abyss have already qualified.

SoCal Val is with Killings. She congratulates him on TNA’s Anniversary and being in the KOTM match. Killings sings a bit and puts over TNA. Day 1 he was here, 2-time NWA Champ and since it is Slammiversary time, it is time for him to celebrate by winning the title.

Non-Title Match: Samoa Joe © vs. David Young w/Diamond and Elix

The Diamonds attack Joe before the match and beat him down. In the ring we go and Young continues the attack. Rights to Joe and then clubbing shots to the back. Rolling sweep by Joe, kicks and he lights Young up. Forearms to Young, Irish whip and the running knee of DOOM! Face way and OLAY! Skip ahead to Joe with the quick powerslam for 2. Rights by Joe, Elix hits him and Young with the Spine buster for 2. Young covers and gets 2 again after a celebration. Rights by Young, and then knees. Eli distracts him and Joe takes out Simon and Young. MUSCLE BUSTER~! 1…2…3.

Winner: Samoa Joe @ 3:00 via pin

It looks like they clipped out the injury part. Not much there, but Joe did finish strong. He did noticeably limp after the match.

James Mitchell is back and says Abyss has proven himself over the years, and cannot be stopped. Abyss destroyed Rhino, and now he is into the KOTM match. Killings, you ask what’s up? You are going to be driven straight to hell…and Cage, we aren’t done with you. Abyss will climb the pile of carnage and be the NWA champion.

JB and Hemme hype Impact for Thursday. Hemme wants to see Sting vs. Steiner.

We get clips of the Samoa Joe DVD, in stores June 6th. We see some video footage, where Joe talks about his submission style and says Regal, Fujiwara and Inoki all stretched him. In the last 3-years, he has progressed and has improved a lot. He loves catching and hooking, but loves the submission style and tries to make it a hybrid style. He spent a lot of time in Japan and he has brought that knowledge here. This all started in America and he wants it to be re-popularized to keep its roots, instead of going the “SPORTZ ENTERTAINMENT~!” route. More clips run, making Joe look like a death machine. It’s a long package, close to 5-minutes.

Closing thoughts: This week’s show was under 20-minutes, so a bit shorter than usual. What they showed hyped Impact, Slammiversary and Joe very well so thumbs up there.
