Union Underground, RAW intro, pyro, pictures of Bischoff and Austin, you know the drill…

JR plugs HBK vs. Mark Henry for later tonight.

Also, the official Team Austin vs. Team Bischoff contract signing is tonight!

Here comes Booker T!

Booker T & Rob Van Dam vs. Chris Jericho & Christian
Vitamin C sneak attacks to start, but Booker tosses Jericho over the top rope onto Christian, an RVD follows with a somersault plancha. Booker and Christian are going at it, much like they did all summer long. Jericho comes in and Booker gets a hoptoss and tags in RVD. Spin kick by RVD. Another kick by RVD. Booker comes back in. Booker goes for a big kick, but Christian pulls Jericho out of the ring, and RVD attacks them with a double noggin-knocker. Booker with the corner punches on Jericho, but Jericho counters and hits a dropkick off the second rope. Christian is back in. Christian gets a two count. Jericho comes back in and hits a back suplex and sets up for the spin-a-roony, but settles for stomping instead. Christian is tagged back in. Rear chinlock by Christian. Booker fights back with a clothesline. RVD and Jericho are in. Kicks a plenty from RVD. Cross body gets a 2-count. Rolling thunder gets two. Rollup by RVD gets two. Jericho is busted open. RVD is up on the top rope and hits a cannonball on Christian. Split-legged Moonsault gets two as Christian breaks up the pin. Christian and Y2J go for a double-back body drop, but Booker sneaks in and hits a cool double scissocrs kick and then the spin-a-roony. Christian goes over the top rope, and Booker follows. RVD with his missile dropkick and covers, but Christian distracts the ref. Jericho hits a sleeper drop and Christian holds the leg from the outside for 3. Good, energetic match.
WINNERS – Chris Jericho & Christian

Austin is watching in the back, and runs into The Coach. Coach accepts Austin’s offer for the post match interview at Survivor Series. Austin threatens to kick Coach’s ass either way. Austin says he has to go do something he never thought he’d do in a million years.

The WWE Rewind is the #1 Women’s contender match from last week.

Terri is interviewing Molly, and asks her how she’s feeling. Molly is sick of Lita. Molly then punks out Terri. That’s just not nice, but at least Molly looks hot. And they’re making their way out to the stage area. Terri starts to fight back, but Molly overpowers her. This prompts Lita’s music, and Molly tries to run. A woman from the audience nails Lita, and of course it’s Gail Kim.

Back to Austin, who’s in Shawn Michaels’s dressing room. They exchange pleasantries. Austin tries to explain the storyline to Shawn, and Shawn is oblivious. The segment goes on and on, until Michaels finally gets it. Michaels and Austin review their history, and Austin admits he needs Michaels. Michaels says Austin has a big problem, but then decides to be on Team Austin.

The trainer is working on Lita, and Christian bursts in to her rescue, and says he’ll be waiting outside if she needs anything. I like this angle.

Batista, along with Ric Flair, is on his way out to the ring. They replay the events of two weeks ago, when Batista killed Goldberg’s ankle dead. And LeBron James is in the crowd.

Batista vs. Maven
Maven slugs away, but Batista hits a huge spinebuster. Backbreaker, and Maven goes to the outside. Batista throws Maven into the steps. Maven fights back, but Batista tosses him around. Missile dropkick, and Flair gets up on the apron and Maven knocks him down. Batista comes back with a clothesline, and nails the sit-out powerbomb for three.
WINNER – Batista

JR and King plug the contract signing for later.

Then an ad for the Goldberg/HHH World Title Match.

JR & King plug the December Raw-only PPV Armageddon in Orlando.

We go back to see Mark Henry kill Shawn Michaels five weeks ago, then Shawn Michaels retaliating last week.

An ambulance is in the arena, and Kane pets it and cuts a promo about the match at Survivor Series. We see a goofy vision of inside the ambulance, then Kane shuts the doors and laughs. Well that was certainly stupid.

Jindrak and Cade talk about their big opportunity tonight. They’re facing the Dudley Boyz in a non-title match I suppose.

The JVC something-or-other of the night is a replay of Cade & Jindrak attacking Evolution last week.

The Dudley Boyz vs. Garrison Cade & Mark Jindrak
Jindrak and D-Von start out, and D-Von hits a flying shoulderblock, which gets two. Cade tagged in and hits a back elbow for two. Bubba is tagged in, and Cade gets a headlock. Shoulder tackle by Cade, but Bubba fights back with a chop. Cade comes off the ropes with a cross body, and Cade’s lip is cut open. Bubba backs Cade into the corner, and lazily comes charging and Cade reverses and gets a cover for two. Jindrak back in, as is D-Von. Jindrak hits a dropkick for two. Cade back in, and gets a chinlock on D-Von. Dropkick by Jindrak, and Bubba has to come in and break up the pinfall. Cade goes to the top rope and misses a big elbow drop. Bubba comes in and hits the usual, and Jindrak is slammed onto Cade and clotheslined over the top rope. A little Dusty Rhodes by Bubba, and Steiner’s music hits, and he’s got Stacy Keibler pressed over his head, which distracts Bubba and Cade gets the pin.
WINNERS – Mark Jindrak & Garrison Cade

Bischoff is walking in the back, looking smug.

Ad for Steve Austin’s book.

We’re back with the contract signing, and Bischoff introduces Randy Orton as his fifth member. Orton mocks Austin, and then Bischoff and Austin sign the deal. Bischoff talks about how Austin will have to trust other people, which is against his mantra. Austin calls everything on Bischoff stupid. Austin goes on an on and on. Wow, no one got beat up.

Austin is walking around backstage. Batista confronts him and tells him that Austin makes him sick. Batista says that Austin has lost his nerve, and that he’s a coward. Austin does his best angry face.

Val Venis, with 3 HOT women comes down to the ring to watch the next match.

Rico, with HOT Miss Jackie vs. Lance Storm, with charisma
Storm and Rico do some nice wrestling, and Rico takes control. Storm comes back with a jawbreaker, but Rico comes back with a chinlock variation. Storm ends up with the half Boston crab, and Rico taps out.
WINNER – Lance Storm

Val brings the ladies into the ring to dance with Storm.

Trish Stratus is walking down the hallway, and runs into Jericho. Jericho explains how he got her number, and Trish says Jericho could have asked her for her number. Jericho knocks on Trish’s partner, John Heidenreich, and Trish says he showed her Little Johnny. Trish says they’ll talk later.

This week’s Confidential will feature a tribute to Road Warrior Hawk, one of the all-time tag team greats in my opinion.

We come back to more hype for the HBK/Henry match, and a montage of weekend house shows.

Trish Stratus & John Heidenreich vs. Victoria & Steven Richards
Heidenreich throws Richards around for a while. Victoria comes in and challenges Heidenreich, and they stand there. Trish and Victoria go at it, and the action picks up. Nice head scissors by Trish. Kicks in the corner by Trish. Steven comes in and nails Trish, and Victoria mounts here and chokes her. Victoria hits a Bruno Sammartino backbreaker, dubbed the “Black Widow.” Heidenreich and Richards back in, and Heidenreich slugs around. Heidenreich hits a Boss Man Slam. Wow, Sammartino and Boss Man referenced in the same match? Then there’s the Thesz Press. Big backbreaker by Heidenreich gets a 3-count on Richards.
WINNERS – Trish Stratus & John Heidenreich

Jericho is watching on in the back, uncomfortably.

We’re back and Coach asks Austin how it feels to be punked out by Batista, and there’s nothing he can do about it. Austin says he’ll be the special enforcer between the HBK/Henry match, which means that if anyone tries to interfere, that would constitute physical provocation.

King and JR run down the Survivor Series card:
Team Austin vs. Team Bischoff, Classic Survivor Series Match
Goldberg vs. Triple H for the World Heavyweight Title
Lita vs. Molly Holly for the Women’s Title
Shane McMahon vs. Kane in an ambulance match

Kane is walking around backstage. Sgt. Slaughter has a piece of paper from Shane to give Kane. Kane says he accepts Shane’s invitation for next week.

Austin is on his way out, and we go to commercial.

The WrestleMania Recall is the end of the Iron Man match from 1996, when Shawn won the belt from Bret for the first time.

Shawn Michaels vs. Mark Henry
Henry overpowers Michaels to start, and whips him to the corner and charges but Michaels gets a foot up. Punching by Shawn. Henry takes over with power, but Shawn fights back. Shawn lowbridges the ropes, and Henry goes to the outside. Austin throws Teddy Long back to the locker room. Shawn catapults over the ropes, but Henry catches him and rams him into the post. Henry overpowers Shawn, and locks in a bearhug. Henry continues to dominate, and goes up for a Vader bomb, but Michaels gets the knees up, nips up, and nails Henry with Sweet Chin Music to get the clean pin.
WINNER – Shawn Michaels

Austin comes into the ring, congratulates Shawn, and politely asks him to leave. Austin says he won’t leave until Batista comes out, and we go to commercial.

We’re back, and Batista was kind enough to wait until commercial was over to come down to the ring. They slug it out, and Austin kicks his ass, then kicks Mark Henry’s ass. Then Batista comes back and dominates. But Goldberg is here, and he grabs a chair and heads out to the ring. Goldberg kills Henry with the chair, and Batista gets Goldberg coming into the ring, but Goldberg hits a spear. Goldberg prepares to Pillmanize Batista, but Flair breaks it up and Batista escapes unscathed. Then Austin wants to share beer, but Goldberg isn’t in the mood. Goldberg asks for a match with Batista, in order to drink beer. Austin agrees, and they pound beer.

Decent show up until the end.
