As we know, AEW is off to the United Kingdom this week for a television taping in Glasgow & All In at Wembley Stadium in London. The company will be back in the European marketplace sooner than most probably expected. Sports Business Journal reported this morning that AEW will be making its debut in France on Tuesday, October 6. “Grand Slam France” will take place at the Adidas Arena in Paris and feature tapings of both Dynamite & Collision.
Tony Khan & Will Ospreay were both interviewed by Sports Business Journal for their reporting of the upcoming event. Khan told SBJ that French fans had been traveling well to events in the UK, while Ospreay was positive on the idea of AEW expanding to more events in Europe and was looking forward to appearing in France again.
Tony Khan on Grand Slam France:
“There are so many great wrestling fans in France, and a lot of fans from France have made the trek to London to see AEW, and we believe there’s a lot of excitement around All Elite Wrestling in Paris, and it just felt like this would be the perfect time to launch with a huge event.”
Will Ospreay:
“I’ve experienced it before, and I just know the moment that we go over there and the bell goes off, the French fans are going to let us know they want us to keep coming back.”
Tickets will be going on sale this Friday through aewtix.com & LiveNation.fr.
