Alex Windsor signed with AEW earlier this year, a situation that she refers to as a “dream come true.” The AEW star signed with the company in July and has been a regular performer since. Windsor recently spoke with Metro in the UK to promote the company’s Holiday Bash show in Manchester and reflected on joining the company.
Windsor also talked about her partner Will Ospreay’s recovery from injury. Ospreay underwent surgery to fix herniated discs. You can see the highlights below:
On Signing With AEW:
“It was a dream come true. I feel like I have been thrown in at the deep end. But sometimes that”s better, because I”m learning everything as I go.”
On Will Ospreay’s Recovery From Neck Surgery:
“Of course, it has been a struggle for him, but he”s doing so well. It”s no surprise, you know, but he”s absolutely smashing it. I personally [think] he”ll be back better than ever. I have no doubt about it in my mind.”
On Watching Ospreay’s Matches:
“I don”t feel like I have half as much like angst about myself as I do when I”m watching Will do his stuff. [laughs] I can”t ask him to maybe do something a bit less crazy. I just have to say, ‘Well, I hope you”d be all right afterwards.'”
On Working With Mercedes Mone:
“You can tell how much she wants to help other people. I had the one singles match with her, and she took the time to just explain things in such a way, it made me feel like, ‘That makes so much sense.'”
