Athena Retains Women’s World Title At ROH Supercard Of Honor

Athena is still your ROH Women’s World Champion, successfully defending the title in the main event of ROH Supercard Of Honor. The headlining match of Friday’s PPV saw Athena put her title on the line in a Survival Of the Fittest Match against Yuka Sakazaki, Billie Starks, Maya World, Trish Adora, and Zayda Steel.

The match ran a little over 26 minutes and came down to Athena, Maya World, and Billie Starkz. Starks got eliminated via a sunset flip powerbomb from World, who then dodged a title belt shot from Athena and hita DDT on the apron. She got a ocuple of pinfall attempts and then locked in the ankle lock. Athena had no chance at a rope break due to the stipulation and Starkz nearly threw in the towel for Athena, but the champion stopped her. World pulled Starks into the ring and knocked her out, only to take a spinebuster from Athena on chairs. Athena hit a chairshot on a downed World and then hit the O-Face off a ladder for the win.

Athena’s title reign now stands at 1,253 days, having won the title from Mercedes Mone at ROH Final Battle in December of 2022. You can check out clips from the match below.
