Backstage Note on RUSH Re-Upping With AEW

– As previously reported, RUSH announced that he signed a new deal with AEW this week. During today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that AEW made the better offer to RUSH.

Meltzer added that while he doesn’t know the length of RUSH’s new contract, AEW is currently looking to sign wrestlers to multi-year deals at the moment. It was previously rumored that there was interest in RUSH from both AEW and WWE with his latest contract due to be up soon.

AEW initially announced Rush’s signing in September 2022. Meltzer noted that RUSH’s initial deal was a one-year contract, which the wrestler insisted on because he wanted to prove himself.
